Partisans were the unseen heroes of the Holocaust. But one young Jewish partisan had a camera. Toronto survivor Faye Schulman’s rare images capture the anguish, bravery and camaraderie in fighting back against the Nazis and their collaborators.
Schulman’s photo exhibition has toured North America, and recently in Toronto at the Miles Nadal JCC, presented by the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation, the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre, together with Facing History and Ourselves.
